Biographical Sketch

Stefan Schrammel was born on April 4, 1991 in Scheibbs, Austria. After graduating from high school, he began studying mechanical engineering at Graz University of Technology. During his studies, he specialized in computational engineering with a focus on mechanical simulation methods. During his bachelor's degree, he began working as a Student Trainee at AVL List and carried out electromagnetic simulations of electric motors. He then took a position as a simulation engineer with a focus on bio-based fiber-reinforced plastics at Mubea Carbo Tech during his master's degree. This paved the way for his master’s thesis on fracture in birch wood glue bonds. Research in bio-based materials led him to pursue a PhD at the Institute of Biomechanics.
