Biographical Sketch

Selda Sherifova (Selda Sinan) was born in Kardzhali, Bulgaria in 1988 and she moved to Turkey in 1990. After she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bogazici University, she moved to Stockholm where she started her Master’s degree in Medical Engineering. She completed her Master Thesis at the Institute of Biomechanics, Graz University of Technology in Austria, while she was also working as a Research Assistant. In March 2015 Selda started her doctoral studies at the Institute of Biomechanics under the supervision of Professor Gerhard A. Holzapfel.
