Biographical Sketch

Anju R. Babu was born in Kerala, India on May 23, 1984 as the second child of S. Thankamani (nurse) and K.R. Babu (serviceman, retired). After she completed her Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering from Calicut University, she started her Master degree in Nanomedical Science at the Amrita Center for Nanoscience in Kochi in 2007. In August 2009 Anju started her doctoral studies at the Indian Institute of Science under the supervision of Professor Namrata Gundiah. In 2015 she submitted her PhD Thesis entitled “Role of Microstructure in the Mechanical Properties of Soft Materials”.
