Biographical Sketch

As an undergraduate student Jianhua Tong was mainly involved with the structural analysis and the mechanical design of solids. In the past two years of his master program, he switched his research direction to biomechanics and he worked on several projects that focused on arterial wall biomechanics. He is now involved in experimental and theoretical biomechanics of soft tissues. His main interest is cardiovascular biomechanics, which is a challenging area with a significant potential for the biomedical industry and for the benefit of human beings.
