Biographical Sketch
Christina Bachmayer was born in Linz, Austria, in 1994. After graduating from the Academic High School in Enns in 2012, she began her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and switched to Biomedical Engineering in the next semester. In 2018 she enrolled in the Master’s program in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biomedical Device Design & Safety and Biomaterials. During her master’s degree she spent a semester abroad at the Instituto Superior Tecnico in Lisbon, Portugal. Christina is currently working as a student assistant at Qualizyme Diagnostics and as a research assistant in the EU-funded project "In Silico Testing and Validation of Cardiovascular Implantable Devices (SIMCOR)" at the Institute of Biomechanics in Graz, while she is doing her master’s thesis at the same institute.
