Biographical Sketch
Jakob Wimmer was born in Austria in 1997. He graduated with distinction in mechanical and automation engineering from HTBLA Weiz in 2016. He then studied biomedical engineering at Graz University of Technology, completing his Bachelor's degree in 2021 and his Master's degree in 2023. His research focuses on modeling and simulation of magnetic bead movements for use in Point-of-Care (POC) analysis systems in lab-on-chip applications. Through various research projects and industrial collaborations, Jakob has gained extensive experience in computational simulations, mechanical design, and mechatronics. He currently works as a development engineer at Erba Technologies Austria GmbH.
