Biographical Sketch
Xuyan Liu was born in Dalian, China in 1993. She studied Engineering Mechanics at the Department of Civil Engineering at Shandong University, PR China, during September 2011 and June 2015. Following her Bachelor's degree, Xuyan moved to Stuttgart in Germany and enrolled in the international Master Program, Computational Mechanics of Materials and Structures (COMMAS), at the University of Stuttgart in Germany where she received her M.Sc. degree in April 2017. Since May 2017 Xuyan is doing her Ph.D. studies in Biomechanics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), in Trondheim, Norway, under the supervision of Professor Gerhard A. Holzapfel and Professor Bjørn H. Skallerud.
